Performance
Through innovative performance, Ballet Soul aims to inspire audiences and dancers alike to develop a new
relationship with ballet.
Ballet Soul has been gaining momentum over the last few years, and has been involved in several projects
from small scale local productions to performing at most prestigious venues.
Ballet Soul's innovative new ballet vocabulary, bursting with energy and vibrancy,
is born through involved collaborations and composers, visual artists and designers. Future projects include:
- Othello - a modern contemporary ballet of eighty minutes based on the Shakespearean tale of jealousy, love and
deception.
- Love Africa - a contemporary ballet piece of sixty minutes, currently in development, divided into four
parts, each representing a different rhythmic colour.
- The Rite of Spring - a forty minute contemporary ballet with music by Igor Stravinsky.
